Welcoming Our New Lower Grades Music Teacher & Accompanist
We are delighted to welcome a wonderful new member to our faculty, Rowan Brando!
With a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theatre from North Central College, specializing in directing and dramaturgy, Mr. Brando brings both a strong musical foundation and a creative approach to teaching. Music has been a lifelong passion, beginning with piano lessons at the age of three. In addition to piano, he performs on the euphonium, organ, and harpsichord, and is also an accomplished vocalist.
For the past three years, Mr. Brando has shared his love of music as a piano and voice teacher in the Naperville area, helping students build confidence, develop strong musicianship, and discover the joy of making music.
At the heart of his teaching philosophy is the belief that music is about so much more than learning notes and rhythms. Music nurtures emotional expression, strengthens memory, develops fine motor skills, and encourages creativity and critical thinking. These benefits extend far beyond the lesson studio, supporting children's growth in meaningful and lasting ways.
We are especially excited that Mr. Brando is joining our Waldorf community, where the arts are valued as an essential part of a child's education. Inspired by Rudolf Steiner's vision of artistic learning and healthy childhood development, Mr. Brando is passionate about creating lessons that honor each child's individuality while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
We look forward to the inspiration and musical excellence Mr. Brando will bring to our school and cannot wait for our students to begin learning with him.
