We are proud to share that we will not be raising tuition for the 26-27 school year. The 25-26 rates shown here are accurate.

Payment Plans
Families can select the payment plan that makes the most sense for your household. The payment plan is selected as part of the enrollment process when completing the enrollment packet in FACTS.
Note: If you enroll mid-year, you will have a pro-rated tuition plan that will be paid in full by the end of May.
12 Payments
Payments are made June- May. They are automatically withdrawn from the account of choice. This plan is a great way to have a lower payment that you can plan around every month.
11 Payments
Payments are made July - May. They are automatically withdrawn from the account of your choice. This plan is a great option to manage cash flow so that you have more dollars available to you in the summer months.
2 Payments
Payments are made from the account of your choice. You may choose from 2-3 set dates for payment. Regardless of the dates you choose, tuition for the year will be paid in full by the end of May. This plan is a great way to have a pre-planned expense that you don’t have to work around month-by-month.
1 Payment
Families can choose to pay in full using a one-time lump sum payment at the beginning of the school year or at the time of enrollment.
Contracts, Deposits, and Tuition Forgiveness
In signing the enrollment contract, it is agreed and understood that a family's obligation to pay the fees for the full academic year is unconditional, and that no portion of fees paid or outstanding will be refunded or canceled notwithstanding the absence or withdrawal of a student.
In the event that a family chooses to withdraw before the start of the school year and has already made tuition payments, the materials fee will not be refunded, but any tuition payments will be repaid in full.
Once the school year has begun, in the event of early withdrawal due to illness or relocation, WSD will forgive 60% of the remaining tuition from the time of withdrawal. The family will still be responsible for paying the remaining 40% of their tuition through the end of the school financial year.

Our Family Individualized Tuition (FIT) model is designed to reflect that belief—welcoming a diverse community of students from across the suburbs, the country, and even around the world. FIT allows us to tailor tuition to each family’s unique financial situation, helping more families join our school community and grow with us in new and exciting ways.
We understand that choosing a school is a major decision for your child and your family. Our goal is to support you in making a Waldorf education an attainable and enriching experience. We look forward to walking this journey with you.

FIT is a need-based tuition model that adjusts tuition based on each family’s financial picture. No two families are the same—so your tuition doesn’t have to be either. Our FIT Committee carefully reviews each application, considering factors like:
Number of children enrolled
Childcare or eldercare responsibilities
Family income and expenses
Special or extenuating circumstances
FIT grants may cover up to 70% of total tuition per student.

Who Can Apply?
New families may apply for FIT after receiving an offer of admission.
Current families apply annually during the re-enrollment process.
Tuition assistance is available for Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
Please note: Tuition assistance is not available for Pre-K students.

Returning Families: March
As part of our re-enrollment process, returning families get first priority to FIT funds. To optimize your award opportunity, submit the FIT application during the spring semester for the following year. For example, if you need fit funds for the 26-27 school year, then you should submit the FIT application in March of 2026.
New Families: April
As part of our re-enrollment process, returning families get first priority to FIT funds. However, beginning in April, we open the FIT funds to new families as well. To optimize your award opportunity, submit the FIT application during the spring semester for the following year. For example, if you need fit funds for the 27-28 school year, then you should submit the application for admission between January - March and then after being offered admission, you may submit the FIT application in April of 2027.

How to Apply
All applications are submitted through FACTS, a secure third-party platform that evaluates financial need.

Most recent Tax return and W2
Optional written statements about your family’s financial circumstances
In some cases, a follow-up phone call with our Administrator
Families must reapply each year. FIT award amounts may change annually based on updated financial information and available funds.

At WSD, we deeply value the commitment families make to our community, especially those with multiple children enrolled. To help support your dedication and make Waldorf education more accessible, we offer an automatic (does not require a separate application) sibling tuition discount:
The eldest enrolled student will pay full tuition.
The second enrolled student receives a 10% tuition reduction.
The third student enjoys a 30% tuition discount.
Families enrolling four or more children benefit from a total tuition cap of $46,000 for the year. In the spirit of partnership, we also require families receiving the 4+ student cap to contribute an additional 12 volunteer hours annually, helping us nurture the vibrant, connected school environment we all cherish.

If unexpected life events—such as a medical emergency or job change—affect your finances during the school year, you may be eligible for a mid-year tuition adjustment. Please contact our Administrator for details.

Families in this income range rarely have the capacity to devote significant financial resources towards tuition. All families will pay at least 30% of tuition as a minimum commitment.

Independent school tuition can seem out of reach for middle income families. We strive to set an FIT level for which a WSD education is accessible.

Many families in this range have the financial capacity to fund substantial investments in their child’s education. There are circumstances that may require some flexibility of approach.
