Discover What Makes WSD Special
We invite early childhood applicants to join us for a typically morning in our PreK and Kindergarten program in an engaging opportunity to experience our school firsthand during the summer months.
During the visit, children will meet current WSD students, connect with faculty and staff, and participate in a typical early childhood morning rhythm including:
Outdoor play
Circle and story
Activity of the day (such as beeswax molding)
Snack (provided by WSD)
What to Bring
There are no materials that you need to bring in the way of standard school supplies. We do, however, require that each student have the following gear:
Rain boots, pants, and coat (weather dependent)
Filled water bottle
Pair of inside shoes (clean shoes to be worn inside after taking off boots.)
Please apply sunscreen and bug spray prior to drop off as children will be outdoors for a portion of the morning.
Drop Off
Please park your car in our parking lot and come in the main entrance. You will check-in at the office and then head to the outdoor play area.
We ask that you have your student here at the school by 8:00 am the morning of the visit to give time to meet the teacher and get them settled in before we begin the program at 8:15.
You should not plan on being present during the visit, but the teacher may ask you to stay 10-15 minutes after drop-off to help your child feel more comfortable.
