PreK & Kindergarten
Parents of enrolled PreK and Kindergarten students are invited to participate in morning circle, snack, and story time alongside the children.
Together, we'll experience the gentle rhythm that brings our mornings to life and discover how consistency, movement, song, and story create a nurturing environment where children feel secure, engaged, and joyful.
Feel the Rhythm
-
In a Waldorf early childhood classroom, circle time is a joyful, whole-body experience. Through songs, verses, movement, and imaginative play, children engage their bodies, voices, and creativity as they learn.
Young children are designed to move, and movement-based circle time supports coordination, balance, language development, memory, focus, and self-regulation. It also builds connection as children learn and move together as a community.
This daily rhythm gives children a sense of security and belonging, helping them feel confident, engaged, and ready to explore the day ahead.
-
In a Waldorf early childhood classroom, snack is a meaningful part of the morning rhythm. Children gather together around the table, sharing a meal and building a sense of community, connection, and belonging.
A consistent weekly menu creates a comforting rhythm that helps children feel secure and confident. Through this simple daily ritual, children practice gratitude, conversation, independence, and caring for one another.
-
Stories are shared simply and imaginatively, often with natural materials and handmade figures rather than books or elaborate props. This allows children to create their own inner pictures and engage their imagination in a deeply personal way.
Through listening to stories, children strengthen language, memory, focus, and creativity while developing a rich inner world. The repetition of familiar stories brings comfort and connection, allowing children to participate more fully each time they hear them.
Story time is a quiet, meaningful moment in the day where children gather, listen, imagine, and experience the wonder of storytelling together.
