Volunteer Opportunities

Rooted in Community: The Gift of Your Time

Parent involvement is a vital part of Waldorf education. When families contribute their time and talents, they help nurture the warm, connected, and vibrant community our children thrive in.

To support this shared work, each family is asked to contribute 6 volunteer hours per semester. Whether it’s helping with festivals, crafting classroom materials, gardening, or serving on a committee, every contribution—big or small—makes a meaningful difference.

Volunteering is not just a requirement; it’s a way to connect more deeply with your child’s education, build relationships with other families, and strengthen the school as a whole. Together, we create the community that helps our children grow.

Tracking Volunteer Hours

Be sure to submit this within two weeks of your volunteer work

To have your work count towards your family's volunteer hours, please send an email to volunteer@waldorfdupage.org with your family's name, the task you completed, and the amount of time you spent along with a filled out volunteer agreement form.

Please note that chaperoning a field trip does not count for volunteer hours. If you have any questions about what counts towards volunteer hours, please email adminteam@waldorfdupage.org.
