Join us on our 5 acres of fields, trees, gardens and forest. Nourish your children’s inherent connection to nature and enliven their sense of wonder. Our camp provides a balanced experience of doing, feeling and thinking in a way that stimulates fun, creativity and a sense of well-being.

Arts & Animation

Explore the core principles of animation including hand-drawn, stop motion, 2D and 3D animation at this very fun camp. First grade teacher Nancy Williams and Ms. Anna Schneider will show you the ins and outs of creating your own animations.

CIRCUS ARTS

Step right up! Come join us under the big tent at Cirque Du Waldorf. Join games teacher Amanda Palmquist in creating and learning to juggle your own handmade juggling props. We’ll be learning circus art skills including plate spinning and riding a unicycle. On the last day of camp parents are invited to enjoy a circus performance displaying all of our new skills.

PIONEER CAMP

Have you ever wondered what life was like as a pioneer? Come join middle school teacher Brenna McLachlan for a real pioneer experience. We will make crafts, cook meals and do farm and household chores, just like children from the 19th century. We will also hear stories about pioneers and all the excitement and challenges they faced in their daily lives.

CRYSTALS, GAMES & MOVEMENT

Learn about the magic of gemstones and crystals, choose a favorite to study, and make your own geometry grid with crystals. Hands-on activities include games using gemstones and color therapy and interactive movement breaks to keep the body and mind stimulated and focused.

INTO THE WOODS

Activities include picking berries, catching and releasing frogs and exploring along the edge of ponds and streams. Children will meet and be picked up at Forest Preserves and parks.

WORLD FOLK DANCE

Come join the dance with Spanish teacher Ximena Schumerth in our Dance and World Music camp. We’ll learn and celebrate traditional dances and music from around the globe. No experience necessary.

Fun With Science!

Do you have a burning desire to learn more about the world around you? Come join middle school teacher Brenna McLachlan for some fun, messy, fascinating, and even delicious science experiments. We will learn chemistry, physics and earth sciences in a hands-on and artistic way.

SPANISH COOKING

Spanish teacher Ximena Schumerth will be your guide while you explore Hispanic culture through food. You’ll be doing lots of hands-on cooking and eating. This camp is the perfect mixture of cooking, eating, and fun!
